Default 4.0 motor heads and bolts firing order

I have not been able to find anyplace that talks about the heads and head bolts on line. Wondering what is the correct procedure to remove and reinstall the heads on my 4.0 Jaguar motor. Do I have to replace all the head bolts or can I use the same ones. When I put the bolts in what is the pounds to tighten them to and is there any special order to tighten the head bolts down.

Another thought what is the firing order when I do get to put the motor back together. Have seen some talk about a A and B sides which is which and where is number one (1) at?

Are there and manuals to help me to do it right? I am not strong in this area but I am mechanical inclined just have never taken a motor down this far before myself.

Thanks for all the help folks

Try and download JTIS you will find a link in the how to's at the top of the X308 page.
It has all the procedures torques etc.
I believe the bolts can be re-used once but hopefully someone will confirm.
Here is the firing order PDF.

I uploaded my V8/V6 Engine Course 168 Student Guide in the large file section.

It has EVERYTHING you will need to know about the 4.0 V8 engine.

Reuse bolts? Yes, apparently once. Proceed at your own risk, or spend a VERY little on Lincoln LS bolts and proceed without a worry that the bolts may snap etc.

Do you know what the price is for the bolts for the lincoln LS? I have seen the ones from Jaguar and they wanted like 34.00 for each one of them. Thought that was a bit much.

Search Christopher Car Parts on EBay, best price for LS and Jag engine parts.

The last TSB that I can recall from my 'Dealer-Days' was the XJ40/X300 4.0 AJ6/AJ16 head bolt re-use twice.

I don't think it applied to the V8 but I have not worked a Jaguar dealer since 2006.

Here is one of the TSBs we got from Jaguar.

So guys here's a new question. Got all the bolts out for the drivers side head bolts but one of them. The one is the drivers side top front 13mm bolt. Not sure if the head stripped out or what. Got a new socket and it still wont work. It gets to that really hard place then the socket just spins and the bolt just wont budge.
Even after all this I still really like this car but the motor is giving me a headache as now that bolt wont come out. Can I heat it up with a torch or will that make it worse. Need help again and sorry guys for bugging you all about my Jag 4.0 motor
