I have had my 2002 Jaguar VDP for about 3 months now and recently went through some old receipts I found in the glove box. My car currently has 67K on it.

At 64k the following service was done..thank god i didnt have to do it bc it was pricey. My question is at the bottom the dealer recommends finishing the 60k service..can you guys let me know what else I need to get done as I know this is the big service! Thanks

Spark Plugs replaced
fuel filter replaced
cleaned injectors
replace upper timing chain tensioner and valve cover gaskets
V.I.C CLEANER??? NO CLUE WHAT THAT IS
TOTAL WAS 2166.00! OUCH

Since then I also replaced,

shock lower mount
subframe mount
lower control arm bushings
upper ball joint
shock absorbers
sway bar link
front end alignment
and oil change

so there the list any ideas what else i should get done?

the guy i got them from said the tranny fluid was changed, but he lied about a lot...so id just like to know what else i should focus on getting done asap..thanks so much!

 

Jaut a guess as I do not know what else has been done to the car in its history (50K mile service, for example), but the only common service items not mentioned for this range, 50/60K miles, would be coolant flush and brake fluid flush; maybe wear items - belt, hoses as a PM. But, at the rate this dealer is charging, I can only guess he was probably afraid to complete the service. Or, put another way, just forget the maintenance all together and buy another 02 VDP with the savings.
