I followed the JTIS procedures that are available here in Jim Lombardi's excellent post:

The job to remove the SC from the vehicle took a little over 2 hours to do alone, and was pretty straightfoward. I did have my dad help on actually lifting the SC out since I didn't want to juggle it and bang it around and possibly snag wiring and vacuum hoses. That was maybe a minute of fiddling.
Things went EXACTLY to plan and the docs are EXCELLENT, and I only broke a small t-connector on a throttle body vacuum hose ($5 on ebay from jaguarpartsplace), and realized that the connector from the coolant overflow tank to the thermostat housing ($16 on ebay from rusnak jaguar) was cracked internally on the norma connector, and the stupid fitting for the brake booster vacuum line to the throttle elbow ($15 from jaguarpartsplace). I say "only" broke because on Corvettes I've owned, the plastic at this age made it a crapshoot of how brittle and likely something is to break. I usually just bought every single vacuum and plastic hose on that car and replaced them.
Tonight I am sucking out the SC oil, and separating the snout from the body of the SC. My dad is a machinist (I'm a software engineer), and I don't have a great press at home, so he's taking the SC to work and his going to clean the case, snout, the V8 plate and the intercooler manifolds in the parts washer, and then remove and install the 4 bearings sometime this week.
I am also going to be doing a paint job on the SC since it looks like much powder coat is missing and looks really crappy. Per Dr. D's post, I am trying this color:

Since the whole shebang is off the car, it'll match!
Question though, is the 10% pulley really that big of a difference, it's $170 and not hard to machine the snout with access to a full machine shop.
I pulled the plates and my car looked a little sad here lol:
The complex tools of the trade to do the removal laid out beautifully on the astroturf porch (BFH, 6" 3/8" drive extension, 3/8" to 1/4" reducer):
I didn't take pictures of the bolt, washer and socket that I used to "press" the new bushing setup together. New bushings in before install on car:
Parts removed so far from car since I started Monday night:
It turns out 2 of the pulleys are noisy; the serpentine idler and serpentine tensioner pulley. The SC and serpentine tensioners are good but the pulleys were a bit loud with a bit of resistance. It turns out there is a very affordable replacement, even cheaper than just the bearing from NTN or SKF; the Gates 38028 pulley. This was found to work great by dsetter here: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...18/#post292843
I also took the supercharger apart, removing the snout from the case, and pulling the rotor pack out. I should have removed the pulley bolt before doing this but eh, my dad is going to remove it at work tomorrow when he removes and presses in all the bearings. I'm still debating buying that pulley. I was exhausted and just set the parts on towels in the garage (cramped since I'm mid engine rebuild on an Audi A4). They've been moved to the table so I don't accidentally damage anything.
Agenda for tonight is to remove the intercooler manifolds, install a MAF sensor in my mom's car (easy on a 3800 V6 Impala), removal and install new valley hoses and inspect all of the belt driven accessories. My dad will take the SC parts and intercooler manifolds to work, clean them all in the parts washer, install the new bearings from the kit, and when he brings them home, I am prepping the manifolds and V8 plate for paint then hopefully really shortly will have some pretty manifolds instead of what I have now...
Good to know! i am defiantly watching this thread...going to do mine soon too! you also broke the same T vac line as me :/ do you happen to have a part number for the brake booster "gasket??" that connects to the elbow i believe...mine had some sort of black chewing gum to hold it in place.
also if you have not order heat reflective tape from online its about 5 dollars online and its 2" by 26ft and wrap the new hoses with it and clamp it in place.
also i am changing the water pump 30 dollars online and thermostat 10 dollars local store and temp sensor on the housing 7 dollars online might as well do a little more preventative maintenance.
if you can please tell me what size vacc hoses did you get? so i can get some as well...good luck

That link is to a seller on ebay, jaguarpartsplace aka Engel Imports aka Terry's Jag, who at least to me ships LIGHTNING fast (they're about an hour away, but they still get it out the door same day within hours sometimes even minutes).
For the vacuum hoses, I actually just buy them local at NAPA. I keep several feet of vacuum soft hose at home in the common inner and outer diameter sizes as whenever I work on a car I hate old vacuum hoses. I've spent too much time diagnosing easy to prevent vacuum leaks. For vacuum hard tubing I actually buy it at autozone:
Well between rain and work I didn't get really much done other than new valley hoses. I'm in Philadelphia for a conference all this week and just last night my XKR got keyed pretty good, so I'm focusing on that right now.
On the plus side, free paint work! It's on the panel with clear coat issues anyway lol.
2 bolts and 2 cable ties and you can remove the fan assembly for a lot more room in there.
I just replace all the bearings idler and tensioner instead of buying pulleys, I've posted part numbers in a few threads, being a 98 they might be different, are there any plastic?.
I should trademark the BFH hope you had a beer after that job, satisfying!
I'm back and have found I have bad bearings in my rotor pack; anyone have a good used M112 or M112 rotor pack they want to sell me?
There was one in the Marketplace with a carbon fiber coating (inlet, intercoolers and SC intake). He had a knock in the lower part of the motor and was selling the top end.

His listing is actually just for the intercoolers and top output plate.. No supercharger included. But there are usually a few used superchargers listed on eBay that the OP could buy.

Oddly finding the NTN or SKF bearings, it was actually cheaper to buy the pulleys from Amazon than the bearings.
Really?....the pulleys are generally $35+ and the bearing is only $4.50.
I bought the Amazon linked ones and they were $18 each shipped. The bearings I found were more than that. Do you have a link where you bought the bearings? My XKR has a new SC idler bearing but it has 96k miles and I'd like to replace the serpentine idler bearing and serpentine tensioner pulley bearing, especially at that price.
