98-03 or 04 up model XJR?

Default 98-03 or 04 up model XJR?
what are the pros and cons of the 98-03 model versus the 04+ model?

I am looking at tweaking the supercharger either way...so would spending the extra 6k be worth upgrading to the current model?

Looks aside, get the 04+ without a doubt. 4.2 litre engine with improved components, better gearbox,car is mostlyaluminium, etc etc.
