98 VDP Need more help please
Good day,
After disconnecting the battery for 40 mins I hooked it back up and cranked and cranked theenginewith no success. Then I decided to check the air filter and what a mess, mice had crawed into the air filter over the winter and built a nest totally destroying the filter and blocking the air flow to the engine. I thought ah hah, I will clean this out and the engine will start, no success. Do you think I have flooded the engine with all the cranking and what advice to you have to remedy this mess?
I really appreciate the support you have given trying to reconcile my problems.
Thanks,
Dixter

if it is really bad .. you will have to remove at least one bank of plugs and dry out the cylinders and add 1-2 oz of oil.. to get compression up..
have you tried gas pedal to the floor and crank and when uit start to fire let off gas half way? worse case will have to remove plugs and dry them out.

Take off the little covers.....coil covers. Held on with 6 7mm bolts per side. Do not overtighten on way back in.
Next, disconnect the harnesses from the coils....4 per side. Next remove the 2 per coil 7mm bolts. Remove the coils. Next remove the spark plugs. Check gap and install new ones.....do not overtighten. Installation reverse of removal.
