98 X308 VDP Call for help
So I had a fuel line break at the fuel tank and had to remove the fuel tank. I drove the car into the garage everything was working I jacked the rear of the car up about 30 degrees to access the fuel lines going into the tank. I then partially removed the fuel tank because I didn't want to remove the wire passing through the piping on the tank. I repaired the lines and reinstalled the tank and wiring. I put some gas in the tank and tried to start the car to prove the fuel lines and the fuel pump would not run. I checked all my connections and read that there is an inertia switch in the circuit and so I thought that this might be the problem I lowered the car to the ground and still no change. I took +12 volts from the battery and put it to F7 (the fuse for the fuel pump) and the car started this proved that all my connections to the tank were good and no fuel leaks. After further investigation I hear the fuel pump relay energize, I swapped relays with no change. So this would suggest that the +12 volts is not getting through the relay to the pump. I have also lost some other things such as, key FOB will not not work any more, remote trunk release button doesn't work. I do not believe the security system is working. The fuel level gauge is not working it is pinned hard down on empty I swapped the leads to the level switch with no change. All of the above features worked before I removed the fuel tank. I was not able to find the inertia switch to reset it. Any thought or ideas would be greatly appreciated. I suspect that I have tripped an inhibit circuit that is common to everything and I look forward to your comments and suggestions.

1) fully charge the battery since the car was likely out of action for a while
2) look for pinched/cut/grounded/disconnected wiring caused by moving the tank around with the wiring attached. those tank edges are *sharp*
3) make sure you put the ground strap back on at the top left of tank
