98 XJR Engine fire saved from being wrecked.
Not sure what has caused this engine fire, must have happened with the bonnet up. Bought at auction to save it from the wreckers as the body is in perfect condition.
Yes in other countries it would not be justified as the cars are so cheap compared to Australia.
However cannot see this fine lady torn apart for parts.
Let the fun and head aches begin.

Engine fires are very tricky. Even if you find the exact same wiring harness, there is always the possibility that
a module or two was shorted which may cause downstream issues. I had a 1977 Firebird with one and it took
nearly two years to completely sort it out. A Jaguar has more electrical dependencies by far.

Addicted2boost, you are correct there are hose clamps in that area and the type used should not be used on fuel injection systems.
They must have been checking for leaks as the bonnet has not been touched by fire.
It took them some time to activate a fire extinguisher to have so much damage.
