With enough time and money anything can be done. I am unclear as to what you are trying to accomplish. Did you have an engine compartment fire? Are you doing an incompatible engine swap? A tad more information would be most helpful and while you are at it What model 1999 4 door are you dealing with, XJ8, XJR, ?

If you have a S Type 4.0 I may have a factory engine harness for you...

This is the 99 I have. I want to pull the engine and wiring harness. I want to put the engine in my Rock buggy. This is why I want a stand alone harness for this engine.

I can't help you with your question, but that car looks like it's in good shape. My wife's 00' XJ8 is the same green. Its a little bit of an acquired taste for that color. It reminded me of my uncles 76' Camaro in just about the exact same green. Me personally, I would sell that car before parting it out and just put a SBC that can run a stand alone ecu in your rock crawler or buggy instead. Soooo many aftermarket parts available for a SBC for what your after.

I thought about selling the car, i just haven't sat down to look at Kelly Blue Book. I won the car in a bet but have no interest in the car other than using the engine for a new off road buggy. I can get more pics and a price I'd sale it for. Its leather and fully automatic.

Still very interested in getting a stand alone harness built. Give me a price or I'll trade you the rest of the car for the work.

Anyone point me in the direction of a wiring manual to build my own harness?
