Default 99 XJR Drivers Lower Control Arm

I have a bad front lower ball joint on the drivers side of 99 XJR. I'm having a hard time finding the entire control arm and have read horror stories about trying to just replacing the ball joint. I have found a pair of front lower control arms for a 2002 XJR does anyone know if these will fit my 99? The listing states they only fits 2000-2002.

They should be the same. I just did a front suspension rebuild and decided to replace the ball joints and bushings themselves as opposed to the whole control arm. I had a machine shop replace the balljoints and bushings for $35 a piece. So if you go this route, all you'd have to do is take out the control arm, and find a machine shop that can do it, and around $150 later you can have a new ball joint and 2 new bushings installed.

The front-lower control arms have a different part number for 1999 and 2002 model years (MNC1311AE and MNC1311AF) so I would assume they are different.

And as the earlier type is now discontinued, and priced at close to $500 if they were available, I think AZjags advice would be the way to go.

Thanks fellas. Looks like I'll be looking for someone to press some joints and bushings for me.

I think the Early to late difference lower arms changes related to the bushings, front and rear bushing have gone through multiple updates since 1998: See TSB 204-S499A.
