99 XJR Hazard Switch Faintly Glowing?

Hello...
I just purchased a nice 1999 XJR with 39K miles, and after the sun went down I noticed that the Hazard Warning switch light constantly glows when not engaged. I have searched the forums and the manual and cannot locate anything that would indicate the reason that this light may emit when switched off. Is this an indication of any system that may be failing?
Also, I would like to thank everyone in this forum for their many posts regarding their opinions of the reliability and gotcha's of this fine car. All of the information on this forum made it easy for me to feel comfortable with the purchase of my first cat.
Thanks in advance!

@midlife
This is a sign you have badly worn timing chain tensioners and you should replace them ASAP !
Sorry, only joking, welcome to the forums.... You have chosen a great car :-)
My hazard warning switch is dark until I switch the side lights on. It then glows red. It doesn't glow at any other time. From the circuit diagrams the hazard switch is illuminated from the dimmer control system, so it should come off and on with the sidelights (and dim and brighten with the dimmer)

Nice one... fortunately I know that those are ok, but do need to be replaced as they are the original plastic ones. I did see that the water pump and thermostat were changed in '01 around 15K so that is taken care of and the cylinders are all holding good pressure, so the Nikisil issue is Ok for now!
Thanks for the info and all of your posts regarding the XJR, they were very helpful in my decision. I love this car... it satisfies my need for a muscle car and a luxury daily driver all in one!
