Hi
This is a quote from forum member Sean B posting in another thread:

Anything short of AutoEnginuity will not read these systems. Nor the seat, mirror, BPM, security or other sensors. For General purpose, they (other code readers) are better than nothing, but if you are serious about maintaining a kitty, Get The Right Stuff.

OBDII Code Scanners ** Member Approved **

Here is autoequinuity website address:

Products

I called autoequinuity and found out that the only product they sell that is for Jaguar specific sensors is the PC based scanner with the Enchanced Jaguar expansion (that is compatiable with it).

Here is weblink to their PC based scanner pricing $249.99 plus Enchanced Jaguar expansion (for Jaguar specific sensors) $229.95 a total of over $480:

The other 2 products - their PC pocket model and the Palm based model - are not compatible with the Enchanced Jaguar expansion software.

I can see the raw data stream from the computer on my Scanner application. Is the ABS module interrogated separably from the mail commuter?

Data stream is for engine sensors in almost all cases since theyre part of obdii. Abs is a chassis code "c" like c1095, c0121, etc....

On my path to remedy the ABS/Stability Control error, I have cleaned all the wheel sensors, replaced my battery with a new one, old one failed a stress test. The error message disappeared briefly after long drive over 30 miles. That would be consistent with a thermal transition causing intermittent connections. So I on to the re solder the power pins in the abs Module.

Soldering the motor pins will not clear the DTC in the module but the MIL should go 'OFF" so you won't be annoyed by it.

C1095 is the one set by the cracked solder joints.
