Default Abs questions

Just a couple of quick abs questions... My first one is without actually testing the speed sensors is there anyway to narrow down which ones are actually working.. For example if the Speedo and cruise control works then one can assume that a particular one is working... And two what size socket is needed to remove the module I've heard an e4 and an e5.. And for that matter do I need a shallow or deep socket.... And on an unrelated note what size torx bit is needed for the battery hold down.? Thanks in advance.

I'd love to read the codes if I had a scanner that was able to

Consider going to a specialist and having the codes read. Most charge one hour or less to do so,and it may save several hours of crawling around and chasing false leads.

The smallest torx socket in my box is an e6, but it's a sloppy fit, so I expect a e5 would be correct. I was able to remove the screws from several modules with the e6, but sometimes they are frozen and then it might not work. You don't need a deep well.

e5 is correct and a deep socket is nice for reaching without an extension. There's a u-tube video on removal and resoldering that I found a while back that did a pretty good job explaining removal...
