Default AC is cold but insufficient blowing air volume

Hi everyone, I am kind of stumped regarding the lack of air volume on my AC. It blows cold air but the cooling volume of air movement does not cool the car.

The mechanic thought it was the actuator and so that was replaced which improved it some. But the air volume is still restricted. As he was getting into the system lots of pet hair seems to be “stuck” throughout the ducts. He has been trying to blow it out but is nervous about taking out the console etc and ducts that serve the back seat area. Any ideas? I guess the prior owner of 16 years had a dog. I have had the car for 4 years. I also have a dog.

Suggestions ? Thanks JDT

Assuming the XJR?

With pet hair showing at the vents, I would bet anything, almost, that the heater core, AND, evaporator are the clogged.

I dont think?? that that model had a cabin intake filter, but will stand corrected. We did not, but some markets may have got them, making that a must replace item also ,if applicable.

I've moved your question from General Tech Help to X308 forum. This is the place to post technical questions about your Jaguar model.

I am rusting posting on this site. But I will try.

one person trying to help me regarding the 2 blowers. Per mechanic both motors are functioning.

the second person trying to help me regarding hair (items) stuck in heater core etc. yes the mechanic says that is where it is. He asks the question— how do you get to those areas easily ? As he sees it he would need to remove the dashboard etc to get to that area and that would be very labor intensive. Ideas? Is there an easier way? By chance does anyone have technical docs that explain or show how to do this ? Thanks in advance. Sorry that I am not real good at posting on this site. I hope that I get a response in which ever areas that I am posting in.

Thank you so much for pages in the manual. I will take to mechanic to see if he still wants to do it.

You'll get a little better idea of what your looking at in the above post I did last year.
