Just took delivery of a 1998 XJ8. Everything things seems good, except for rear brake squeek--even though the pads and rotors were said to be at least 50 percent.
Anyone have recommendations as to adding a remote CD changer? Any advice welcome. The stock radio has a button for CD player, but the car does not have one.

Greetings,
I have had alot of problems with brake squeal when using aftermarket brake pads. Using the factory pads will probably solve the situation.
The vehicle is already wired for the remote changer, it's plug and play: as you've already noted, all of the radios are equipped to control the optional changer.
In your car, the CD changer is mounted on the LH side of the trunk. There is a different moulded trunk carpet that was fitted to conceal the changer, while still leaving acess to the magazine door.
