Might be trading the trailblazer in toward a 03 XJR with 80k on the ticker. Car has great service history and is beautiful, what do you guys think?

2003 is the best year. If the history is complete and well cared for, definitely go for it!

As long as you are good with the CATS suspension, and have checked it out carefully, I say go for it!

 

Its anthracite on oatmael, I hope to check it out Friday

 

I definitely agree with this statement -- 80k on the odo is "low mileage" so if everything, including the price, fits your fancy, I see no reason to pass this up!

I just bought a 2000 XJR Anthracite and Ivory. Love it.

 

Right! One of the reasons I bought my '01 is that it does not have CATS, less expensive to replace shocks when the time comes.

The 2003 is perhaps the best year (and final) year for the X308 R. I side with everyone who suggests a pre purchase inspection at a reputable jaguar shop. Should be about $100 at an indie shop or $200-250 at the dealer.

The CATS air syspension can be a PIW(pain in the wallet) but can be converted to a "conventional" suspension for durability and reduced maintenance. During a PPI I would also recommend to check the octopus hose at the back of the engine along with coolant lines under the Supercharger.
