Advice on replacing all locks
Hi all,
the lock on the drivers door of my car doesn't work. If you insert the key into the lock it feels as though everything inside the barrel has worn away and you can just waggle the key around and it doesn't catch anything.
Also, the car only came with the valet key and the remote fob doesn't work so I'm unable to lock or unlock the car at the moment. I have ordered a full set of locks (drivers door, ignition and boot [trunk] lock) from ebay.
The physical act of replacing the locks should be fine but I wanted to check with you guys to see if there's anything else I need to do once I replace these locks.
Any advice would be most welcome please.
Thanks,
Paul

Thanks Highhorse. Fingers crossed you're correct but unfortunately I don't think that's the problem because the key will lock the door if turned to the right. It's just the unlocking part of the barrel that's not working.
I'll take the door card off at the weekend and have a look.
Thanks,
Paul
