I believe it will depend on the year of the Jag, but I have a 3 year warranty on my 03 Jag from Global. I purchased the warranty last July.

Default Extended car warranty

I'm looking into extended car warranty for my 2000 XJ8. My partner came across a company called "Canadian Warranty Corporation", www.canadianwarrantycorp.com.

The price seems too good to be true. Does anyone have any experience with them or any other company?

I'm finding that most companies will not give one on a jag or landrover due to dependability issues and high repair cost unless you are still in your original factory warranty.

problem is to get a warranty on your car is about as much as the car is worth. And any that do and are reasonable wont cover much except powertrain and with alot of exclusions. I would set up a "car fund" instead

The ones that do, and don't charge a king's ransom, are very careful to exclude most anything likely to go wrong. I found that out when I had a cooling system problem with my '99 XJ8. Since Jaguars have a lot of parts in the cooling system that don't appear on other cars, naturally nothing I needed was on the list of covered parts. With the help of the good people here I found an excellent parts source, got back on the road and learned a lot about my car in the process. The warranty was useless, however.

How about AAA warranties? They seem to be a bit more above board than the typical warranty insurers(like Warrnty Gold which went under a year after i bought into their warranty).

what Brutal says, as much use as a chocolate fire guard, consider finding a good independent and start saving, unless you're handy with torx and metric spanners.
