Default Air intake

So.... K&N filters really screw my MAF sensor. So I put the paper filter back... Since my fender is dented and I got a new fender and I'm toying with idea of adding a vent in the fender to let in more clean air instead of it sucking it thru gaps in the lights/fender. According to Matt Moran and his setup, the biggest issue with those intakes is drawing hot air from the engine and under the engine in stop and go traffic.

What do you guys think? Since I have to get that fender fixed anyways, thought it would be a neat little project.

Jaguar paid some perfectly good engineers to design the air intake on that car. Like the K&N filter there is little or nothing to be gained by cutting some scoops on the top of your new fenders. JMO.
