alignment xj8 2000 shims?

Default alignment xj8 2000 shims?

I tried to get an alignment done today and they tolde they coulsnt do it that it was dealer only task becuz he said they needed to install shims? By the hub...im confused on if they were just b.sing me cuz its a pain and I could go else where or if it is only a dealer spec that they have to do

Rear camber is adjusted using shims just as they described. Outside shops can do it, but they require an assortment of shims on hand to be able to select the right one. Additionally, if they have no experience with the actual job, they may not wish to take the task on.

The factory seems to install 4mm shims on most cars.
The springs sag a little and 6mm will correct the fault most of the time.
