Welcome to the forums Lene Tufele,

And to the confusing world of XJ8 badging which was used on three different generations of Jaguar from 1997 to 2019. As you are asking about parts, it would be useful to add Location to your profile as being in Honolulu, HI will influence supplier choice.

This is the model forum for the STEEL bodied XJ8 (1997 - 2003) known by the factory code X308 but your 2004 XJ8 should be the later ALUMINIUM bodied XJ8 (2003 - 2008) which is X350.

X308 (1997 - 2003)

X350 (2003 - 2008)

However, I know the US assigns year by registration date so it is possible you have an earlier X308 not registered until 2004. Please confirm which it is.

No No No No... you're confusing him even more Graham .... that's not an X350, it's an X358!

This is an X350 (made from 2003 to 2007, probably what Lene has):

This is an X358 (made from 2007 to 2009):

(please take that in the humorous way I mean it... and please don't ban me!)

Not a problem.

However, as this is the third re-direct I've made for this OP, I now expect you to respond to all future needs.

Thank you for info. I live in Kaimuki which is in Honolulu and the title says it was first sold 8/3/03.

Well assuming you have an X350 (see our pics) this might help you with the part numbers:

https://parts.jaguarlandroverclassic.../brand/jaguar/

I can't get a link to work, so paste into your browser.

The link works fine, Chris. You can't normally use them in your reply unless you preview the post.

That's good news, when I tried the link last night it would not work.

The Jaguar classic parts website is a wonderful resource to find what you need, even if you do not order from them. But the parts are actually not too badly priced either.
