Help ! own a jaguar 1998 xj8 and the alternator bolt is seized up. Removed nut from bottom but can't tell if it's thru bolted or threaded in the front ear. Just won't to verify it's thru bolted before I start to beat on it or try pressing it out with a c clamp. Thanks for any help
This fuse is # 2 / 5 amp engine compartment fuse box on page 34 , this is different then the engine management fuse box under the hood
It can be blown by other systems on the car that share this one fuse , it has happened before
This fuse is only supplied power with the ignition positive relay is closed in the engine compartment fuse box
At point 4 double hash circle on page 31
If you put your finger on the relay do you feel it click closed when you rotate the ignition switch?
There might be a relay swapping option that has the same relay part # , even though the relay can click getting the correct command it can still be bad inside
I will be out the rest of the day running errans so signing out
click on the image twice and then right click drag it around to the area of interest
