I already own a early XJS V12 and just saw an add locally for a 2001 XJR with 89,000 miles for $15,000. Where is that in the forum? Pictures look well maintained (same owner for past 11 years in Florida). Of course if it is interesting I would inspect personally. What major issues should I look for or should I take it to a JAG dealer for a thorough review.

The price is rather over-optimistic. Typically an 01 XJR with that mileage would be worth $7 to $8K, ie about half what they are asking, and that would be in California where you don't really have to worry about rust.

I agree with the others that the price is high. I just bought my 2000 XJR with 95800 miles last month in SC for $6500. Mine is in great shape with only a few more miles and same area of the country.
