Default Any one else on here have an XJR 100?

I would love to hear from anyone else that has one.
And see some pictures, I love mine and it is a garage queen with only
21000 miles on it.

My XJR is a 2003 built 11/2002.. she has an XJR 100 badge on the trunk lid. Why? I have no idea.

BTW.. DUDE DRIVE that Black Cat..
I've done the math......
We're going to be dead longer than we're alive.
If she turns you on when you're behind the wheel.. drive it until you drop.

I used to think I was doing myself a favor by keeping the miles low on my Gal. Not anymore.. I love how she rides and how she makes me feel driving her....
Make your Black Cat your daily beater. You'll never regret when your time on this Earth is done.

Bet that's nice...... I'm rebuilding mine from the ground up, hopefully better than new.

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/a...id=1608&page=2

I bought it to use at weekends in the summer, only had it 6 months and it was caught in a flood in the Lake District. Car park was fine when I left it in the evening, the following morning after a night of "man's rain" the little stream I had a smoke by was a raging torrent of brown water. The car park wasn't there just water, a brand new Range Rover, and Audi TT etc...and my beloved 100. Downer!

Insurance wrote it off, I bought it back along with a new bodyshell from Jaguar - then hunted for a year related donor car, that took 9 months. It's now on the button and at the paintshop. It's the most level bodyshell I've seen on an x308. Jaguar came out to reflash all modules to latest spec, gave me a new cats list and also stamped the VIN on the new bodyshell.
There's a shoebox under the bed full of receipts and invoices, I'm not going to total what its cost! Maybe one day. Unless she finds it first.....

It needed a little work before the u-boat impression - I planned on this during the winter, ended up doing a lot more. It's been a journey.
Pics are before the flood. It will look slightly different once done. Should be this spring.

Yep - she's my daily drive, not a trailer queen. Beautiful, fantastic car. Wouldn't have a Jag any other way . Pics when she's a bit cleaner when the weather clears a bit.

Donzi, XJR 100 looks fantastic but my real question is how you got a supercharged VDP?

The supercharged VDP was hard to find here in the US, but a few made it in.
It is really a beauty with only 45000 miles.
Worked at Donzi for several years and owned too many to count, over 25 of them.
Built a couple for myself too. I have a 235 Sport deck (yes a Donzi deck boat) and a 22 Classic that I built from the ground up with a V-10 ILMOR (Dodge Viper) 710 HP engine. It runs 103 MPH on GPS.

I have to ask... Are you in/formerly in the armed forces?

No because they will charge you full list ($174.50) + taxes
Go there to order it online: http://www.jaguarmerriamparts.com/pa...?siteid=215718

Enter the part # and the make ( jaguar) and click on "search"
Price from them is going to be $139.60 + about $10 shipping to your door

Hey Donzi [this won't make sense to anyone else....] turn your IMs back on please. Gosh, typing really does not convey intended emotion - I am sorry if that was misread as being critical of your assistance, that was not at all how I meant to write it . I really just mean to say, I am seeking out that killer-deal that I can buy, fix like new and then resell for profit. My apologies for the terse writing. By the way, on second look at the bait-and-switch car, it is an XJR and not a VDP-SC/superV8 at all, lol...

Got the knob today, TOTALLY THE WRONG ONE! It is that part number on the box all right,
it is in a lovely tan beige color. Never can win it seems.
Now I have to screw around with returning it and hope I get my money back.

The part# is the correct one for the XJR100 ( warm charcoal with red stiching)
What must have happen is jaguar either putting the wrong part in the box or the wrong label .Would not be the first time

Call them, don't tell them what happened, and ask them to verifiy that MXD4950BA is the right gear knob for an 2002 XJR 100.
Once they confirm it, just tell them what happened.
They are good peoples

From the Jaguar Electronic Part Catalog ( what dealers use) Link will not work

Warm charcoal/Cherry red
