I need to get behind it to replace my right corner air vent, but have been trying to pull the wood airbag cover panel with no luck. I've yanked it, pulled with two hands.....nothing. I removed the glovebox to see if there were any bolts holding it in place but i couldn;t see any. This can't be that hard to pull off, is there something i'm missing here. I've searched and searched but no answers yet.
Any help is appreciated.
thanks
EDIT. I figured it out. For those of you who need to get back there, there are 4 long metal clips behind the trim panel that need to be removed. They are on there very very tight. I tried pulling and yanking to no avail. I had a tool for removing door panel clips (looks like a screwdriver except the tip is a curved U shape) that made it very easy for me to curve the tool behind the panel. I gave it a few wiggles and it came out. This panel is secured with two straps to the airbag, once panel is removed, airbag can easily be removed by unbolting 2 10mm bolts.
Any help is appreciated.
