Anyone retrofit rear heated seats?
Well my front seats are torn badly, especially the drivers. They are made from perforated leather which pretty much makes them impossiblemto fix.
I sourced a complete set of seats from a local jy out of a xj8. A little worn but no tears so I ordered a kit from letherique to refinish them before I install.
To my surprise the rear bench came with wires sticking out for the heating units.
How hard would it be to retrofit these to work in my XJR? Does anyone know if the car is prewired? Any ideas?
I know the rears barely get used, but I like to have all the functioning gadgets i can get

Adam, I've done it. As plums suggested you'll need the two big grey relays (timers) that fit in the heelboard, along with the switchpack as shown, it's then plug and play as all XJ's have the looms to fit them.
I think you'll also need the link leads to the relays from the switchpack

I'm only doing the back because the seats I got are already with them.

On my VDP ALL I needed was switches above the climate control. Seats come from the factory with heating elements, relays, and wiring. I took my climate control out, got one from the junkyard with seat switches, and plug and play.
