Default Arden Exhaust

Have a chance to buy a arden exhaust kit for my XJR... what is the specs on those? Anyone know the diameter? And do you guys think its worth $900 installed vs a custom system for 600-700?

I think JaXkr bought the complete exhaust and found the cats disintegrated quickly. You might want to send him a PM to confirm.

What are you expecting to get from the exhaust system?

I want to prep for a twin screw and 3.5 in new intake. Not to mention the sound to be a little more aggressive.

Sweet!

My 2 cents, if it were me I would get the nameless cats and a custom exhaust. The nameless cats will add a throatier volume all on their own.

Would you do 2.25 or 2.5" or what if you were to do a custom job?

2.5in exhaust with an x-pipe... What is the nameless cats running for?

I'm trying to do the best bang for my buck and sorting out small things also like ball joints and bushings and crap.

I'm not sure I understand your question; do you mean why use cats? or how much do they cost?

I think they cost about $900 for the set of 200 cel which will pass out the pipe emissions.

If you use no cats, and the x-pipe, best prepare for a very loud car.

I am also thinking a 4" intake tube would yield more than the 3.5" but I have no evidence to support that.

I do suggest the 3.5" 90 degree silicon elbow into the TB for a much smoother flow into the TB than the stock design of cobra head. I think that cobra head is a major bottleneck.

If you look in my photos in my car's description you can see what I mean. Click "2002 Jaguar XJ-Series" below the WaterDragon in the top left corner of all my posts, then click the see more pictures link.

I used "resuce tape" to wrap the TB to make the dimension bigger for a perfect seal when I put the silicon elbow on.

Funny thing is I just bought that exhaust from John. I wasnt planning to. I kinda bid on it on ebay...Made an offer and well got it for $420. Figured 550 shipped to NY wasnt bad...Then again my buddy lives in Tampa and often drives to NY...So yes. Got it for $420...Now are there any exhaust clips with just the arden back half installed? Thanks:O) Thats how I found this post too funny

Which car did you buy it for?

Not sure if the exhaust from an X308 will fit an X100, and i'm very sure that it won't fit an X350...

Oh maybe its not the same one.

Its AAK85250 which is the quad pipe version for my x350. I looked up the part # before ordering. But it is from John. Last one he had and he's had it for some time. Not so sure Ill used the quad tips but the price was right. He had it advertised for 2002-2006. Unsure if that was just a bad conversion from the European version which I believe was 2003 and up as opposed to US 2004 and up. Regardless part # checked out for my xjr from Arden. Hopefully it fits just fine!
