Audio input help?
In the past (recent years), my vehicles has either had an audio input on the stereo, or I have taken it to the a car stereo place to have an adapter installed (patch into the AUX on the stereo?), or I have just replaced the stereo with an aftermarket unit.
Anyway...I am looking to add an audio input to the Jag stereo. Anyone on here attempt to do this? I want to connect my XM Radio and Zune player.
I have tried several FM modulators in the past (on other vehicles) including the integrated FM modulator in my XM radio and there is always static in the audio...or you constantly have to change the freq when you travel. I am looking to hard wire it.
Thanks!

RE: Audio input help?
What vehicle do you have?
The ACM will only wire into 2002-2008 X-Type, 2003-2008 S-Type and 2004-2008 XJ8. There is also a new one out now for the 2007 and 2008 XK. The XF will have it standard from factory.
The reason it will only work in the above vehicles is due to the D2B fiber optic network.

RE: Audio input help?
Ok so the ACM will not work in your vehicle due to the need for fiber optics. Sorry.
I know there are some stereo shops that will chop into your harness to get it to work.
Only other option would be to upgrade your stereo, but is pricey to get custom install work done due to the shape of the console.
