Why didnt Jaguar make this in 2011?

I am not slagging off the current XJ, it is a brilliant car, much better than an S Class..

But imagine if it looked like this..

The 2005 XJ was such a lovely looking car.

I think the current styling is not as nice.

Have an '01 308 base model in Winchester Blue and have a laff every time someone gives a thumbs up or walks over to compliment the car. Not much of a fan of what Jag did to "re-vamp" the big XJ's and believe they don't get the reaction the iconically styled old sedans.
