Red face Best place for OEM Jag parts?

Hi forum,

Long time caller, first time listener...just messing that was an attempt at humor.

I've just acquired a 2000 XJR, black on ivory, 85k miles or about there.

Where does one shop for parts e.g. replacement seat leather, interior bits, exterior trim.

Is eBay and this forum my only stop? Or are there some specialty websites out there for X308 Jags?

Best,
Booshiba

P.S. I will post an intro thread once the cat is delivered. Should be 24-48 hours from time of typing this.

I usually buy a few salvage cars when they get old and have my own salvage yard for parts because Jaguar discontinues replacement parts and commercial salvage yards crush obsolete cars as a matter of course.

I have several sedans as 'salvage' but I am on the hunt for XKs to put in the yard for future 'donors'.

SNG Barratt and Welsh Enterprises have a pretty good stock of parts for X308s. Also Engel Auto Parts (used to be Terry’s Jaguar) and Moss Motors (used to be XKs Unlimited).
You can also find quite a lot of stuff at Rockauto.com

There are five "you-pull your parts" kinds of junk yards in the Atlanta and surrounding area. I see there are Pull-A Part locations in Corpus Christy and EL Paso. Not sure where you are located but if these are convenient, (Texas is a large state!), you can sign up to be notified if a car you are looking for shows up in the inventory. (No XJs in either one at the moment.) You might just search these types of junk yards to see if there are other yards in your area. I have purchased tons of things like arm rest cushion, third brake lights, mirrors, various lights, seats, speedometers, just too many to list here. (The seats in the XJR I had were in terrible condition when I purchased the car. Found a set of VDP seats in very good condition at Pull a Part. Was half-price seat week so I got front & rear seats for $90.00 !) Many of these items are not available at a Jag parts place. Used to be lots of cars at these places but as they keep getting older, not too much. You are on the hunt now!

If you can get the part number just look up on line.

I use those popular vendors people mentioned already.

last sort and some uncommon parts...i know and I hate to say...at the dealership

I cannot get past Jaguar Land Rover Group's dedicated spare parts website, either current part numbers and or exploded diagrams. The prices are OEM so best sat down while browsing! Sometimes they have 15% offers - generally around about Autumn time.

If you want OE, Go here first.

Terry's is generally my go to, if it's not commonly avaliable, and I know the pn I need.

Sng has some nice diagrams...

Jaguar land rover classic used to be my first stop for diagrams as the site followed JEPC perfectly, then it got changed... then I thought it went down completely, though I've seen it referenced in this thread so I'll need to check it out again

I agree with Sean B, go to the classic website first. You can get a part number from there, and even if you don't order from them, search google and ebay until you find what you need at the price you like.
