Best toe-in setting for XJR?
I've just finished a 5 hour fight to change the track rod ends on the 02 XJR. Totally siezed on the adjustment thread - had to grind slots in them and use a blowtorch.
I have two charges for alignment in the recent service history, to the previous owner, so how did they adjust the toe-in?
Anyway, now I can adjust the toe in properly. Has anyone experimented with the best setting to minimise tram-lining?

Dealer did my alignment just a couple weeks back. Can't tell you what they set it to, but tram-lining is almost non existent. Was terrible before.
Here's specs I had found in a search if it helps.

I wonder if that document is for x308 considering the date mentioned on the opening page.
Did a lot of reading when I upped my 16" for wider 18" rims, and tram-lining seems more the result from worn suspension, and wider/lower profile tires (especially the 255's).
However, the notorious problem of chaffing the profile from the inner side of the front tires seems to be dramatically reduced by a proper toe.
There are several threads on this matter on this forum.
Pushing the front wheels out while setting toe-in will help in the correct setting.
I did so, and did not find any uneven wear to my new fronts yet, while my previous fronts were down on the thread with the rest of the tires just half worn.
I do have the correct settings somewhere, let me know if you want me to dig them up.

"The date printed on the front cover is the issue date of the
booklet. The booklet will be updated and reissued
periodically to enable the inclusion of new and modified
data."
