Hi Folks,

Looking for a replacement Wiper blade for my X308 Sovereign 2001 Model.

Any advice on a decent wiper and a good place to buy would be appreciated.

The OEM metal wiper blade holder has a distinct 'swoop' where the wiper washer jet assy is fastened to the arm.

I use the OEM blade holder with 'windscreen wiper rubber replacements'.
The rubber and stainless steel reinforcements can be inserted like we did at 10K mile services at the Jaguar dealer with new inserts.

The aftermarket blade assys sometimes interfere with the washer jet so using the steel blade holder with new 'rubber' might be the way to go?

 

I just put Bosch Icon blades on my Prius. Best blade I've ever experienced. Smooth, quiet and great cleaning. However, a Motorcarman mentioned, I don't know how it would work with the Jag washer jet, and I'm not sure if they sell replacement blades. But I was thinking of looking into this blade for my car, either as a replacement blade only or an assembly.

Jaguar sold the wiper INSERT only when I worked at the dealer. We installed them at 10K mile services.
Slide the rubber part out, swap stainless steel flat supports, insert new rubber, DONE.

I think they were $12.00 each so you might look for aftermarket rubber inserts.

 

Just replaced blade with Bosch Icon for my '01. Nice sweep, but noticed far left-end tip vibrates a little when at speed (above 75). Old one didn't and I don't know why one does and one doesn't.
