RE: BLOW BY IN THE AIR CLEANER
youre welcome I hope it works for you, I remember when these cars were new or a yr or two old and Jaguar was having us run blowby test. we had alot of no starts. The no starts were from oil film cylinder wash down from fuel when first trying to start. This and low tension rings would leave wet plugs and no compression. On some engines even after taking out plugs , cleaning a drying if we didnt squirt oil down into the cylinders they still wouldnt start since they had 20psi compression or less. the oil restored oil film seal and compression, engine would start, and we'de clean throttles, and part load breathers

RE: BLOW BY IN THE AIR CLEANER
That's it!!! The sacred 303-708A !!! You're the first person who has one, or has seen one, or even knows what it is thatI have heard from in the U.S.
It's not on the available tool list though SPX, nobody else sells anything like it for less than thousands, so I built my own with a 0-80 LPM gas flow meter. I figured out how to get a good reading with it, and when I finally saw the U.K. bulletin and instructions I saw that my procedure was valid.
Trouble is, my reads were higher than otherwise indicated. If I could compare mine with the factory tool results and proof mine, I could put a tester on the market for less than whatpeople would pay for a compression or leakdown test. PM me of you have a suggestion.
One other question on the subject...did you ever do a back to back blowby testafter trying the BG Engine Restore?

RE: BLOW BY IN THE AIR CLEANER
lexy .. I'm probably the world record holder for oil blow-by into the air intake with my previous 98XJR engine (replaced it a few months ago).. It would puke out like 1/2qt in a day or two. I had various oil/air separators rigged up to try to keep the oil out of my air intake + throttle. Eventually my tensioners gave and it was lights out.
anyways .. at one point I actually put a few tablespoons of the engine restore directly into the cylinders. I'm not sure if that helps over just adding it to the oil - perhaps.
BTW.. my previous jag was a 96VDP as well. I miss it, and would take it back in a second.
