Blower motors

With winter well upon us in the great state of Wisconsin, I've been using my heat a lot lately.
Well, as of late, I have been getting a loud squealing noise, initially I thought it to be a belt/AC problem, but noticed that when I change the fan speed using the knob, the problem goes away for a brief while. It sounds like a group of crickets during mating season! It's beyond annoying....
But this made me think, maybe it isn't a belt/compressor issue at all, but maybe the blower motors. Rumor has it the 2000 VDP has a blower for each side. Does anyone have a diagram that would help inspect the blower motors, and remove them.
Would some oil (20w or 20w-50) help with this issue? Is it brushless/sleeve bearing?
Any advise on this issue would be beyond appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
