body processor function intermittent
1 driver seat does not go to proper memory location, but steering wheel does. seat works fine in manual
2 when unlocking with the key fob the driver seat goes all the way back/down.
3 open the sun roof and about 2 minutes later it closes its self
4 head lights may or may not come on automatically
I checked every single fuse in the car with an ohm meter and they all are good.
I replaced the body processor and it made no difference at all.
I ran a separate earth from the body processor to the battery no change.
Can anybody help me?

ran the odp for faults, and the only fault was the brake light switch. Ran through the above diagnostics and found no faults, but the damn things still don't work right. I have to be missing something but am at a loss as to what it is. Battery is new but checked it anyway and it checks good.

I got out my milliohm meter and checked every ground that I could access without tearing the car apart. they all measured .001 to .003 ohms to battery negative post. Is it possible that reprogramming the BPM might fix the problem? why am I not seeing faults registered? I spent 40 years working on extremely complex electronic circuits. My experience was that 99% of the time intermittent faults were caused by defective grounds. I think my sanity is being challenged.

What model and year?
Dumb question, but have you tried a hard reset?
Have you cleared the driver seat position memories?
Worn wiring harnesses directly under the drivers seat are worth checking, they can lead to faults
What confuses me are the headlights coming on - one thing you can check are the wiring diagrams.

Did a hard reset on the new bpm and it fixed the windows and sun roof. Found a broken wire under the right front fender and that fixed the headlight problem. Drivers seat still does not want to go to program position. Mirrors, steering wheel and head rest do. All the diagnostics show no faults. Is it possibly the seat memory module? It would be nice to have a digital data analyzer to see if the write to memory bit is being set. When I push the memory button and then the position button the red light flashes and it beeps indicating the memory has been set. when the recall is pressed nothing happens, but if you set the seat manually after pressing the recall button it will stop at the program positions. I know that one bit not settting can cause huge problems. We melted a $7 million dollar antenna because 1 bit did not set when it should have.
