I swear that the XJR is the easiest car I ever put a boost gauge on.

It has all necessary grommets in place for an OEM quality installation of the tubing. I didn't do the electric connection yet for the illumination but the rest was easy.

 

I also have a boost gauge along with a water gauge in the supercharger circuit. Now you need an upholstery shop to cover it so it looks like it came from the factory.

what hose line did you tap into for the pressure reading?

I've always been interested in installing one of these

 

I spliced into the line that feeds the fuel pressure regulator.

 

I spliced it into the line that hooks up to the V8 cover on the SC.

Really easy boss look at the engine the plate on top tht says V8 is the supercharger outlet on the passanger side toward the back u will see a black vaccum hose coming off. This is the best place to tap into i used the same one, just get a t fitting and install it right there bout hlfway down so its still out of sight.

what kind of mounting kit you guys used on the A pillar

 

This is the boost gauge I use.

The pillar posts mounts are just a universal set massaged to fit the post & then covered in leather. I had to use 2 seperate mounts as my water gauge is larger.

I had the A pillars & header panel covered in leather instead of the oem cloth. This photo shows the gauges.

You have to buy a plastic mount, modify it to contour to the pillar then cover in leather.

The trim shop is able to cover any sins it took you to get the pods to conform to the post. Like everything else on these cars it just takes time & money

 

I just have no shame to ask further, what exactly a pillar pod you used,I just want to make sure I will get the right one ,thank you so much
