Brake time

Brake time
Well, its come time to replace the front brake pads on my '99 XJR. I'm tempted to go ahead and replace the pads and the disks together, since I don't know when the last time they were replaced (bought the car last December). I've found a couple disks off of JC Whitney, however I'm not exactly sure what to be looking for. Since the brakes will one day (knock on wood) save either my life or my cars life I would like to be sure I fitted the right brakes.
I'm open to any suggestion or ideas on what to do. I've seen a few threads on the brembo brakes. I'm no racer and I barely do the speed limit. I'm just looking for some reliable brakes.

I've had generally good luck with my Centric Premium rotors and Akebono Euro Ceramic pads that I got from Rock Auto. I have warped them, but that was after a track day where they got VERY hot. I'm moving to Brembos, lol. But until then, in even VERY spirited street driving the Centric/Akebono combo was great. Plenty of stopping power, quiet, very dust free, and good fade resistance for a street pad. Regardless of rotor, I HIGHLY recommend the Akebono pads. They are just about perfect for a daily driver pad.
Oh, and be sure you get the 325mm x 26mm rotors for the front and the 305mm x 20mm rotors for the back. These are stock size for the R and the only brakes it ever came with (besides the Brembos), but for some reason most online stores still lump the XJ8's smaller rotors into the list.

Hi
I changed the front Brake pads. I found on the car pads made by Delphi, the new one are made by ATE code 13.0460-6033.2, Made in Germany. I can say that i am happy with them.
Jaguar use ATE Brake system except Brambo on some XJR , on the identification program the Brake pads are made by Jurid, I use before in my BMW discs and pads made by Jurid and after a few months i change them with Brambo. Those are European companys.
Those pads are also use in 7 series E32 and 5 series E34 540I and M5 3.6
I measure the brake discs and the size is 325 mm for non R XJR. Brambo has 355 mm
Best regards
