The issue here is NOT to much pressure , but pressure not releasing .

Brake fluid that can't fully return to the reservoir ( as MIKEY pointed out ) remains in the system , causing ALL pistons to not retract fully .

When was the last time someone saw an issue with ALL front and rear disc pads being too thick on the same car , not impossible , but unlikely .

A simple opening of the brake bleeder should prove this either way .

took me a number of days but I've got everything back on for an update:

The MC I got was the wrong one so I sent back. Hard to find another for less than $500 so I decided to put everything else and re-evaluate.

New front brake lines and calipers, cleaned again and back together. Rears have been rebuilt but added new rubber slides and pins.

Pressure bled everything, back to front, and took for a short drive down the street. I only went for about 1/4 mile and came back. Jacked up each wheel to see how they feel. Front left spins a time or two then slows, right front seems to spin freely like it should and stops with brake pedal.--Seems this one is fine.
Rears still drag on both sides. It is consistent and can be heard while driving like a slight drag sound. I have the parking shoes backed all the way off to make sure it wasn't them.

So Front left is 50% there, FR seems good, both rears are about 50% to where they should be. My plan is to do rear brake lines and see how things are after that. I will also pressure bleed everything just to make sure no air left. I did the best I could with an 8-year old pumping the brakes.........
