Unhappy Broke booster vacuum hose to throttle body elbow fitting

I broke this part:
98 1998 Jaguar XJR Booster Vacuum Hose - Brake - Genuine - PartsGeek

On the end where it connects to the throttle body elbow i thought it was a rubber grommet and pulled on it. Well it was not, it was some kind of plastic fitting which i believe i had to rotate in order to release the line. Anyway the line came out but the plastic fitting exploded into bits inside its copper/bronze fitting on the side of the throttle body elbow.

Does anyone know if the new line listed above will come with the plastic fitting i destroyed? My existing hose is in essence fine. I just need the plastic fitting. Help please.

VACUUM HOSE CONNECTOR KIT part# c2s15816

Look at forum thread "Brake booster vacuum hose removal?" post# 11 (forum member - jimmycruz99xjr - 1999 XJR)

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...removal-38101/

Most of the jaguar parts website sell this kit (price range from $11 to $20) - most of the Ebay listing say it is for S_Type and X_Type, but seems like it also fits XJ X308 - posts 20 & 21.

Hi,
I am completely baffled trying to reconnect the brake booster vac line to the throttle body elbow (4.0 L X308 Sovereign '97 build date). It appears to have come out while I was working nearby replacing the windscreen wiper motor.
The nylon hose has a clean true round end. If I poke it into orifice in throttle body elbow, it will go right in until it's visible if I look down barrel with throttle butterfly depressed ... and then the nylon tube will fall out again.
Is the end of the nylon hose supposed to have some form or fitting on it other than being just plain tube?
Thx all
Ross

Yes there is a black plastic clip shown above on the right. It will lock the tube into the brass bushing. You are missing that.
