Default Broken Coolant Pipe

The coolant pipe from the coolant tank to the top of the engine has snapped. Any info where I can buy another pipe? and how do I remove the old pipe since the method of fastening the pipe to the coolant tank is complex? Thanks.

If you are talking about the small diameter plastic tube that has one end as "quick disconnect" at the coolant tank, and the other ends with a rubber hose on the thermostat housing,.....I just replaced that one on my wife's car. $27 at the Jag dealer with tax in CA.

The Jaguar dealer for these hoses.
Exploded diagrams and part numbers located here,
Genuine Jaguar Parts and Jaguar Accessories for Classic Jaguars from Jaguar Classic Parts UK
To disconnect the 'Norma' quick connect you can use 2 very small flat head screwdrivers and place them either side of the connector where the spring loops are, the idea is to spread the shoulders of the clip with leverage from the screwdrivers and wiggle it back and over the lip on the tank. To install it's just push them on. Hope that helps

Hi
I tried to search the internet for Jaguar parts in Calabar Nigeria without much luck. I did find a website that seems to be able to get auto spares for some imports:
http://www.nairaland.com/899780/need-spare-parts-car
If they do not sell Jaguar parts, they will help you source the parts you need.

Here is a JPEG file showing diagrams of the 3 coolant expansion tank hoses (click on image when the dropbox webpage opens to get a sharper view):

https://www.dropbox.com/s/wcjdseyepq...%20numbers.jpg

Top diagram is from the JTIS Jaguar Repair Shop Manual (where I found the removal instructions).

Bottom diagram is from the JEPC Jaguar Electronic Parts Catalog (where I found the part numbers) I added the circle numbers to the bottom diagram to relate the information pertaining to the top diagram. The bottom diagram shows both connector ends of the hoses.

I found another thread about how to remove the coolant expansion tank quick-connect hoses. Here is what another forum member learned about them:
to release the quick-connector "push forward and wiggle a bit before pulling back (out). That worked nicely They just pop right out".

I just tried to use the push forward method. I could not push the connector forward (plastic is not flexible enough). Maybe it is too cold (below freezing point in garage).
