Default Burning rubber smell under acceleration

I have a burning smell under hard acceleration since the exhaust was done. Doesn't look like valve covers, could it be the cat converters damaged or going bad?

burning rubber and burning oil are distinctly different Marko!

You only need a drop on the manifold for oil to smoke and smell.

How close is the exhaust to the rear tires? I'd guess the gases would be cool enough not to trouble the rear tires though...

S.C. belt slip? tensioners to check?

If the cat's go bad they throw gases off and the O2's would throw a code, fuel trims would also be out of normal range, is it using more fuel? any codes?

hope this helps

what do you mean by exhaust done? If it is a new exhaust it would be "patina" burning off.

Is "Patina" a fancy Italian sports car?

I get a "hot" smell from mine under hard acceleration. I decided it was simply the heat from the compressed air coming from the supercharger causing the entire cooling system to heat up fairly rapidly.

No codes. But the smell is of burning rubber. I opened the hood and it didn't smell at all but the belts.

I upgraded the exhaust to magnaflows, that's when the smell arrived

WOW ... patina is the green stuff that forms on copper but now is pretty much used for all kind of grime which is left on machined parts, ie oil, solder, small metal shavings etc ... it is normal for an exhaust to smell when it is new. There is no way for them to have the inside of the exhaust absolutely clean so you smell it burn off. A magnaflo or flowmaster especially if they have any kind of matting inside the muffler.
