Can I use my MAP sensor as a boost gauge?

Just curious since my scangauge unit can read that and display it real time.

Scratch that....took the car for a drive and the map readings are definitely NOT the same as what the boost would be.

My supercharged Pontiac Bonneville SSEi had a boost gauge. Loved thst car.
