Can this be saved
#2
Anything can be saved if one has the money. Smug remarks aside I wrecked my LWB a few years ago w/ very similar front end damage I got all the body parts to repair(hood, right fender, grill, door skin etc.) for $650 & that was w/ long distance shipping, I found the exact year, color donor car but it was cross country lol. The project got put on hold due to work, so I ended up selling everything w/ the caveat that the new owner restore it & I had 1st dibs to buy back. Insult to injury after procuring the exact parts, color etc. I saw the car about 2 years after the sale & it was scooting down the boulevard still wrecked now accumulating rust from the damage, it hurt my heart lol.
But yes it can be restored.

Yikes that’s always my fear when selling my cars, I sold my euro spec w123 Mercedes about 5 months ago(really cool spec green interior and yellow exterior) anyway the guy I sold it to sold it again and the transmission blew up and now I have to go save it from the crusher. I would think even if the car is too rough to fix I could theoretically make a super v8 out of a normal vdp or xjr

Hmmm, while the Super V8 is a desirable car, they are not exactly an XJR100, so I'm not sure you would be able to recoup the cost involved, nor the time that would have to be spent.
The one in the picture looks to be in a sorry state, I'm guessing it is not a low mileage example, and that in addition to the obvious damage, the rest of the car would need extensive attention.
I think I would be extremely cautious, it looks like a money pit to me,
