The Jaguar Technical Information System (JTIS) is the official dealer technical documentation. It is continually available on eBay as a CD for less than $10 or for free as a download here: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/g...oad-site-9933/
All other documentation is only a derivation of JTIS.
The best source of information is a simple 'search' of this forum.

As test point recommended, I simply bought one off of fleabay, and to the best of my knowledge, it really is the only thing available in formal documentation. The other real thing is to scour this forum and the internet. There are many good posts that include pictures, video, and step by step instructions for the majority of the issues that you will probably tackle. Be sure to not limit your searching for maintenance related posts to just this specific forum as the XK8 / XKR models have the same drive train up through 2002, so you can find a lot of good information over there!

Hi SirJag
Send me your mailing address by email and I will mail you a copy of the JTIS CD.
And yes MidlifeXJR is correct about finding DIY repair information. A lot of it is available on this websites' forums.
Here is tip on how I find these DIY such as low coolant: I open my internet homepage (Yahoo or Google, etc) to do a search.
By starting the search phrase with "XJ8 & XJR Jaguar Forums DIY" then adding the particular repair I think I need such as "low coolant sensor".
I found the Forum thread that I needed from the search results it was the second one down in the list. It led me to the information I needed to understand what is causing the problem and how to fix it.
Here is the search : "XJ8 & XJR Jaguar Forums DIY low coolant sensor" and here is the results of the top 4 listed:
