Okay I have owned my 308 for 5 months now. The following things have been done to bring the car up to my like new standards:
1. Repaint rear bumper and trunk
2. Replace mass airflow sensor and all ignition coils
3. Plugs and filters and synthetic long life oil
4. Head liner repaired
5. New Jaguar trunk plaques
6. New Jaguar valve stem caps
7. $200 interior/exterior/engine compartment detailing
8. ordered new dash radio kit and new Alpine Stereo head unit (tired of cd player in trunk)
And what bone head move did I make yesterday? I take Beast (her nick name) to the car wash, turn the music down so I can pay the guy and go through the car wash-radio mast UP!! DOAH! It looked real funny bent 90 degrees over!
Did some quick research with my audio guy and it turns you you can replace just the mast. Have one on ordered from ebay. Will have it installed next week with the stereo upgrade.
At the moment it happened I was not a happy camper, what a bonehead move. I may have even said a bad word!!!
So in case you may not have known, car wash vrs antenna.......car wash wins!

An easy twenty minute replacement effort: RobertDIY has a great Youtube instruction.
To the TO DO list: check the secondary tensioners; replace the thermostat and water pump unless you have documentation that has been done. Might want to change the fuel filter at some point.

When I worked at the dealer we had young guys (porters) that drove the customer cars to the parking area and brought the cars to the pick-up area after the cars were washed upon job completion.
When they were hired they were advised that they got ONE aerial free replacement if they forgot to turn the radio OFF before going through the Dealer Carwash!!!!
Many had the second or third come out of their paychecks and they learned quickly.

I did the same thing in my 02 XKR. Went through the car wash with my antenna up. I felt so dumb. But it's so easy to do. I was thankful that the bent antenna didn't scratch my paint because it was bent and twisted against the side of the car. I sure wish my Jags didn't have stupid antennas...
Hopefully I won't do THAT again!
Ditto on Jhartz' recommendations to add to your to-do list.
