Dear highhorse, my problem is finally SOLVED !!!!!!!! So, it was the inertia switch that triggered. It seems that the lit cluster is an odd symptom. But the rest was typical. Thanks so much for your kind help. I learned a lot here!!! I'll post pictures of the car as soon as the restoration ends. Cheers every one!!!

Congratulations, jacksjags!

A lot of members with no-start conditions suspect the inertia switch, but it is almost never the inertia switch, so we tend to forget to suggest it as a possibility. I'm glad you figured it out, and the lights on the instrument cluster are a new symptom for us all to catalog in our memories for the next Jag to experience the same issue.

Thanks for letting us all know!

Cheers,

Don

Cool Deal! absolutely great you were able to find it. An Inertia switch is definitely cheaper then a cluster. Way to go!

Same issue on my X308 (2000) as jacksjag! Same dashboard presentations, etc. Same fix! I had the car in for body work and, somehow, the inertia switch had tripped.

So glad to have the old girl back home!!

Thank you, every Jaguar Forums member. I rely on you.

Brad
