I had this happen with my car one day and it honestly just went away after about 20 minutes and hasn't happened again. I don't know what it was, I just chalked it up to it being a Jag.
But a vaccuum leak would definitely cause poor running issues for sure I would get that fixed ASAP and then go from there.

Yeah, how long was it running ? If you started it up for just a minute to move it, then it could very well be bore wash or cylinder wash. There's lot's in the archives here on that. It is when a cold engine is started with a rich mixture and the fuel washes the oil film off the cylinder surfaces. The engine is then shut down before the oil can get circulated back up on the cylinder walls (apparently Nikasil cylinders are more slick than steel also). Then, next time you go to start the car, the cylinder walls don't have enough oil on them to produce good compression and the engine spins quickly, but won't start due to lack of compression. This might not be a great explanation, but the cure is to remove the plugs (at least half of them) and squirt an ounce, a jigger, a dram, of oil in them, crank engine to distribute it a little, then back together, throttle to floor until it fires up. Like I say, there is a lot in the archives on this issue.

If you only ran the engine for a few minutes then it's likely "bore wash" as already stated. I had the same problem recently - please see link below.

With 'bore wash', the raw fuel has washed the film of oil off the cylinder walls. This causes a loss of compression and the engine won't fire. Continued cranking just gets the plugs wet and makes things worse.
Remove the plugs and put a few mils of oil through the plug holes. Make sure the plugs are dry before putting them back in. The next cranking spreads the oil over the cylinder walls and restores compression.
It's a pain to do but you can usually get away with doing just half of them.

yeapp so I removed the plugs and put in the oil did all the necessary steps, I also watched a video on it a few times as well as looked at ur instructions step by step. I am thinking that i fried my starter trying to get it to turn and what not, i had my batter checked and charged and its wont even begin to crank just a sold loud click, befor it would start to catch as if it were flooded then die. I have never done the starter nor looked for it on this car befor so im not to familiar with it or diagnoses. Can anyone please give me some advice...sorry about the text talk guy It only when I am making a post from cell phone at work the text talk gets jumbled in there
