Hi
Our the CD magazine in our 2001 XJ8 was stuck in the CD Autochanger located in the boot. This occurred last night and my wife asked me to fix it this morning.
I pushed the eject green button and the autochanger made the sound like it was going to eject it. The magazine did partial come out but half of it was still stuck in there.
The eject sound started again as soon as I grabbed the magazine. At that point I slightly raised the magazine up and the autochanger starting making the ejection sound again, then it ejected the magazine fully.
Guess I got a lucky break this time.

Hi
I could not remember how I fix it last time. I had to lookup CD Autochanger jammed Magazine on this thread to see how I fixed it the last time my wife did something to it.
Well the solution was the same and I was able to get the magazine out the same way as I did back on April 12 this year.

I used to repair these things for a living. You have to removed the changed itself and take off the lid. Chances are you have one of the cd sleeves stuck open. Find the loading motor and move the pulley until the sleeve starts to retract into the magazine. Sometimes two cd's get placed on one tray and that causes the problem. Otherwise it could be a bad load belt or a mechanical failure in the load mechanism

Hi
What happened was my wife turned off the radio as the CD Autochanger was loading another CD. The CD became jammed up in the Changer and the Changer would not eject the CD magazine.
I out a screw driver under the CD magazine and press the eject button while I gently pryed the CD magazine up. The changer then ejected it.
It working OK now. I think my wife will be more careful from now on. I told her that if it gets broken will cost us another $500 or more to get a replacement.
