Default Cell phone antenna help

The Cell phone antenna on my 98 xjr got tweeked a bit today at the car wash. It was always pretty loose but now it feels like it's barely clinging to the adhesive tape holding it in place.

I thought about removing it since it's useless to me anyway but I don't want to just jump in to pulling it off and possibly doing more damage until I have a better understanding of the anatomy involved.

It looks like there must be a hole in the rear window where the wire feeds through but is there some kind of washer around the cable to form a watertight seal?

Any ideas on how to plug this hole? Or just leave it and what kind of adhesive is suggestec?

Thanks,

Luc is right - there is no hole in the glass. Both pieces inside and out are held on with foam adhesive tape, and you can use a razor blade to remove them.

That's a relief, I had heard from others that there was a hole in the rear glass but if there isn't one I'll just go ahead and pull the cell antenna and scrape it off.

I used a little WD40 to loosen the tape as I peeled/scraped it off. The car looks better without the antenna off anyway.well that's what I think. I also took all the wiring out as well. Good luck Sean, easy job too.
