Default Cheaper Ford parts source

I'm about ready to get back out in the garage and get'er stitched up and on the road again. I would appreciate your thoughts and experience with YOUR source for the more inexpensive Ford/Lincoln alternatives for a 99 XJ8. Thank!

I have a source that's been pretty reliable. The number is 1-866-648-7784. Iv'e been dealing with this guy for several years and honestly can't remember his company name or his name. He's listed in my phone as Jag parts guy. He can find any make and model of parts. Good Luck

How much were they? I just purchased mine from a Ford dealership for $87 for the left and 77$ for the right. They were nice about it, but I would have appreciated getting the revised bolts... Instead of getting the tensioners and pulling the engine apart to realize the old ones don't fit! So much for expert advise. Oh and my favorite part was when I heard the words "we have to special order it". THEY ARE BOLTS!!!!! So now I gotta wait...

Right tensioner was $52.02 and the left one was $58.07
Bolts were $1.10 each and shipping was $10.30

luc-
Were you able to get those prices over the phone for shipment, or was that in person? They seem to be a regular FoMoCo dealership, so did you have to say any magic words to get a discount? Thx

So on tasca.com, did you order them as ford parts or Jag parts? I have a 99 Vandenplas. What model ford do I ask for when ordering parts?
Thank you

We're talking ordering Ford parts that are also used by Jaguar such as the tensioners mentioned in this thread
