Hi all, new member in the Forum!
My car has about 58000 miles on it and last week the light came on. As this car is usually hardly driven and is my wife's car I have not looked at it till my wife dropped her car of at my work place and I drove it home yesterday. I noticed that both the Traction light and the Check Engine light is on at the same time, the engine however was running smooth. I drove it for about 2 minutes to an intersection when the engine started to misfire really bad so I pulled off the road and checked for any spark or vacuum leak noise, I didn't hear any of that so I closed the hood and drove home. After about 10 minutes of driving the engine smoothed out, the traction light went off but the Check Engine light remained on. I have not read any fault codes but going through this Forum it looks like I may have a bad MAF or a coolant sensor. Anyone have any recommendations as to anything I should spot check first before clearing the codes and read them after they come back?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you but mine is not supercharged. I actually went to my local parts store and he let me use his scanner, I was able to retrieve the code which indicated a coil misfire. Since my car ran smooth after a 14 mile drive I reset the light and all is well now, I think it may be because I drive the car too little. I have a 2000 car and it's only got 43k on it. These days I only drive it maybe once a month, go to drive it more I think......
